Who are We?
Why Yorkshire Spirit CIC (Education)?
The specialist team that makes up Yorkshire Spirit CIC (Education) has many years' teaching and leadership experience at both primary and secondary school level. We have extensive experience in school and community engagement and in advisory work through local authorities and through regional and national partnerships. All team members have been local authority advisers and have a track record of excellence in this work.
We offer a range of support to schools including exploration of identity through school and community linking, developing critical thinking amongst pupils, encouraging interfaith dialogue and understanding and supporting difficult and challenging conversations. Our work is driven by our commitment to human rights, equalities, understanding of community and respect for diversity.
Yorkshire Spirit CIC (Education) is so named to reflect our northern roots, to suggest a commitment to fundamental human values and a sense of ‘otherness'/ spirituality. We are a Community Interest Company: a not for profit organisation whose primary purpose is to support schools develop initiatives focused on fundamental human values.
