FAQs

The syllabus itself is available free of charge to all schools within a local authority area or multi academy trust which has adopted it as their local agreed RE syllabus. This will be available through your local authority. In case of difficulty email [email protected]. A shortened handbook is also available and this can be found on our website. Two additional sets of resources are available by subscription: 1. Comprehensive lesson planning for every unit of work. 2. Classroom PLUS PowerPoints and knowledge organisers for every unit of work.

Most schools using Believing and Belonging subscribe to the detailed planning on which our resources are based. In West Yorkshire you can subscribe by emailing [email protected]. The current cost is £220 as a single fee for the full life of the syllabus. To subscribe to the Classroom PLUS PowerPoints and knowledge organisers, you need a separate subscription with Pennine Learning. The usual price is a one off fee for existing resources of £490 + VAT. But look out for special deals or ask us if you are a single key stage school. Discounts may also be offered for federations or MATs where all the schools subscribe.

Detailed planning for every unit of work from EYFS to KS4, together with a comprehensive collection of Classroom PLUS PowerPoints and knowledge organisers is available by subscription. These are all dovetailed to the syllabus and have been written especially to match its requirements. The normal subscription is £720 +VAT per school. However, Oldham and Doncaster schools have a preferential early bird offer of £520 +VAT. Maintained schools within these two authorities have a further discount supported by their LA and can subscribe for only £300 + VAT. Early bird offers are open until 30th June 2025. Further reductions are available for MATs where all schools subscribe. Please ask us if you would like a quote from outside an area that subscribes to the syllabus. To enquire or book email [email protected]. See detailed terms and conditions on the flyer.

All core and focus units from EYFS to Upper Key Stage 2 will be available by July 2025. All KS3 core and focus units are now available. Each set of Classroom PLUS resources includes lesson PowerPoints, comprehensive teacher notes and a knowledge organiser for the unit. If there is sufficient demand we will also produce KS4 (non-examined) units.

Samples of Classroom PLUS resources and the detailed planning are available at https://www.penninelearning.com/free-resources/

Once you have subscribed, you will receive log on details and will be able to download everything from our website. The username & password can be shared by staff within school but must not be shared beyond this as the contract is with an individual school. Please ensure your email (username) is one that will work if staff move or change roles. It may be better to use an admin address (admin@schoolname... Or re@schoolname...) rather than a named individual.

1. Check you have used the correct user name. This will be the email address that was originally used to sign up. It does not matter if this email is no longer valid, it will remain your username unless you ask to change it. 2. Check the password. It is advisable to have shared this with your office and other RE teachers in school (but not outside your school). 3. If you cannot retrieve your username and/or password you will need to contact our administrator at [email protected]. We will respond as soon as we can but we regret there is no automated reset facility at the moment.

You can use the resources just as they are or you can edit them to suit your local situation or planning needs. Some of the units of work include a number of religions or worldviews. This is reflected in the additional resources. These have not been designed for teachers to go through each religion one after another; rather they have been produced in this way to give you choice in your curriculum design. We strongly recommend that you select a maximum of two or three religions or worldviews in a unit.

We work very hard to ensure everything is factually accurate, balanced, grammatically correct and generally of a very high standard. If you notice anything amiss, please contact us so we can put it right quickly. Likewise if you have any suggestions, ideas or feedback we are always glad to hear from you. Please email one of the team on [email protected].

We are holding free termly twilight webinars and details will be sent to all subscribers. These will offer tips and ideas as well as a chance to ask questions or share ideas. You don’t have to wait for one of these, of course! Please feel free to contact us anytime on our direct emails or at [email protected]. RE networks are also held termly in each authority area and details are on local authority intranets and at www.penninelearning.com/events-training or www.re-hubs.uk/calendar
