FAQs
Believing and Belonging is the local agreed RE syllabus for schools in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Doncaster and Oldham. The syllabus has two strands: Beliefs and values – developing understanding of world faiths and other beliefs in a multicultural context. Belonging – fostering respect for difference. Together, these promote spiritual awareness, diversity, critical thinking, and reflection. It is free to all schools in a local authority area or multi-academy trust that has adopted it as their agreed RE syllabus (via your local authority). Shortened handbooks for Doncaster and Oldham are available at Free Resources – Pennine Learning.
We provide unit planning from EYFS-KS4 linked to the exemplar units of work titles located within the agreed syllabus. We also provide PowerPoints, teacher notes, and knowledge organisers for every unit (EYFS–KS3). All are matched to the syllabus.

KS4 PowerPoints were not developed due to low demand. Packages cover EYFS–KS3. KS4 units may be developed if demand increases.
Use as provided or adapt locally. Many units include several religions/worldviews—choose up to three religions/worldviews per unit to shape your curriculum.
